Make The Transition From Salesforce Classic To Lightning

Blog: Why now is the time to finally convert your operation to the Salesforce Lightning Experience.

Over time, Salesforce has seen many changes. One of the more significant developments has been the introduction of the Salesforce Lightning Experience. The improved interface was developed with client input and is designed to improve workflow and productivity, make jobs more accessible and intuitive, and help clients transform their businesses.

With the rollout of Lightning now hitting the five-year mark, many Salesforce users are still operating with the older interface, known as Salesforce Classic. Since current Classic users are comfortable, and migration holds many challenges, it is understandable why some companies are hesitant to change over. However, with Salesforce no longer providing updates for Classic and support beginning to wane, it is time to take a serious look at leaping to Lightning.

There is Always an Excuse

Large-scale change can be daunting, especially when it can affect your workflow and bottom line. It is understandable that since Classic works, there is no reason to upset the apple cart. The rationale often includes:

  • Amount of time
  • Available resources for a task this size
  • Effect on employees/employee backlash
  • Potential roadblocks or persisting/lingering issues

These are legitimate concerns for any operation to consider before a major changeover. In the case of Lightning migration, the proper Salesforce consultant can guide your operation from start to finish and minimize any pain points. Once you are up and running, the pros will far outweigh the cons.

Time for the Lightning Experience to Strike

There are too many positives to ignore. One of the main reasons is the access to updates and new features, all of which are designed to improve productivity and enhance the user experience. Here are a few more reasons to switch to Lightning:

  • Features that can streamline your processes
  • Increased room for flexibility and creativity
  • Improved interactivity
  • Enhanced navigation for greater efficiency
  • Updated and pleasant user interface
  • At some point, Classic may no longer be supported by Salesforce
